As Monsieur wrote, we spent most of the day at the school. The first class we went to was an English class. We (Monsieur and Myself) watched the students work to complete a listening activity about the World of Warcraft. The second class of the day was History. The teacher was discussing the Renaissance and the Reformations. Even though the teacher spoke only in French I was able to understand what was happening. Clee happened to be in that class with us. She told us her first class of the day was a math class and she felt very comfortable because the teacher was going over material she had already learnt this year. We saw many of our students passing in the hallway on their way to various classes. The school is obvious very old. It has no air conditioning, kind of like St. Norberts, and we only saw one projector, which was strange for us. Paper- who uses that!?! The French do. Most of the students had very beautiful penmanship.
After our group meeting, Monsieur and I left for the day, while the students went off campus for lunch. We were then able to walk through the Friday market. I met a cheesemonger, who was German and very kind. I was able to try all of his cheeses. This evening I went for a run around a section of the city. I was able to see the Rampart of St. Vincent and the Nonette (the river/creek). The town is very clean, safe, and the people are very polite. I saw a few other runners in the town and the paths were all paved which was nice.
